Read the text carefully and answer questions.

People around the world are slowly changing their attitude towards
medicine. More and more they are turning to natural cures. Natural cures are
made of natural things, most often herbs and plants. History says that natural
or herbal remedies are nothing new. People used them all along in different
ages. Herbal medicines were used in ancient civilizations like India, China,
Greece, Egypt, and Rome. Some ancient treatment systems are still in practice
today. They have come down through generations.
 
For a minor burn injury the doctor may prescribe you a tube of
ointment. But for the same, a rural grandma may put some aloe vera or use cold
water. If children have cold in our country, grandmas give them honey and tulsi
leaves to eat. And it works too. If you have a minor cut or wound, grown-ups
may put some turmeric, marigold or aloe vera on it. Rural people usually use
garlic, neem or turmeric to cure skin problems. With experience they have seen
that these remedies work. Moreover, they are easy to get, are cheap and most

পৃথিবীর
সর্বত্র মানুষ আস্তে আস্তে ওষুধের প্রতি তাদের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি বদলাচ্ছে। তারা অনেক বেশি
প্রাকৃতিক চিকিৎসা পদ্ধতির দিকে ফিরে যাচ্ছে। প্রাকৃতিক প্রতিষেধক অধিকাংশ ক্ষেত্রেই
ভেষজ উদ্ভিদ ও অন্যান্য গাছপালার মতো প্রাকৃতিক জিনিস দিয়ে তৈরি। ইতিহাস বলে যে প্রাকৃতিক
বা ভেষজ চিকিৎসা নতুন কিছু নয়। মানুষ বিভিন্ন যুগে সবসময়ই এগুলো ব্যবহার করতো। ভেষজ
ওষুধগুলো ভারত, চীন, গ্রিস, মিশর এবং রোমের মতো প্রাচীন সভ্যতায় ব্যবহৃত হতো। কিছু প্রাচীন চিকিৎসা ব্যবস্থা
আজও প্রচলিত। এগুলো বংশপরম্পরায় চলে আসছে।
 
অল্প পোড়া ক্ষতের জন্য ডাক্তার
তোমাকে এক টিউব মলম দিতে পারে। কিন্তু একই কারণে গ্রামের দাদিমা ঘৃতকুমারি বা ঠাণ্ডা
পানি ব্যবহার করেন। যদি আমাদের দেশে বাচ্চাদের সর্দি লাগে, দাদিমারা তাদের মধু এবং তুলসি পাতা খেতে দেন। আর
এটা কাজও করে। যদি তোমার কোথাও কাটে বা ক্ষত সৃষ্টি হয়, বড়রা তাতে হলুদ, গাঁদা অথবা ঘৃতকুমারি দিতে পারে। গ্রামের মানুষ
চামড়ার রোগ প্রতিরোধ করতে স্বাভাবিকভাবে রসুন, নিম বা হলুদ ব্যবহার করে। অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে তারা দেখেছেন
যে এই চিকিৎসা পদ্ধতি কাজ করে। অধিকন্তু, এগুলো সহজে পাওয়া যায়, সস্তা এবং অধিকাংশ
ক্ষেত্রেই পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়াবিহীন।

Hamidur Rahman, a famous architect designed this significant monument. The vertical lines and columns suggest the loftiness and grandeur of the people martyred for the cause of language. It stands for the supremacy and sacrifice of life, love of people for their mother tongue. It also conveys the meaning to the people that mother and mother tongue along with the motherland is most important. It contains all the aspirations of Bengali identity and nationalism. It is a symbol of freedom, strength and unity. We should preserve the highness, supremacy of this mother language at any cost. The Shaheed Minar is the most significant emblem of our national life. It represents our victorious history of fight, sacrifice and gains. It has become a part of our political as well as cultural achievement and source of national inspiration. It also re-inspires us to maintain our national brotherhood and culture.

শহিদ মিনার হলো আমাদের ভাষার জন্য আমাদের ভালোবাসা, আন্তরিক আগ্রহ এবং সর্বোচ্চ ত্যাগের প্রতীক। এটি ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজের সামনে অবস্থিত। বিখ্যাত স্থপতি হামিদুর রহমান এই তাৎপর্যমণ্ডিত স্তম্ভটির নকশা এঁকেছেন। উল্লম্ব সারি ও স্তম্ভগুলো ভাষার জন্য প্রাণ দেয়া শহিদদের শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব ও মহিমা নির্দেশ করে। এটা মাতৃভাষার জন্য মানুষের সর্বোচ্চ ত্যাগ ও ভালোবাসা বোঝায়। এটা মানুষকে আরও বার্তা দেয় যে, মাতৃভ‚মির পাশাপাশি মা, মায়ের ভাষা হলো সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। এটি বাঙালি জাতি ও জাতীয়তাবাদের যাবতীয় আশা-আকাক্সক্ষার সত্তা ধারণ করে। এটি স্বাধীনতা, শক্তি এবং একতার প্রতীক। যেকোনো মূল্যে আমাদের মাতৃভাষার শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব ও মহত্ত¡ আমাদের রক্ষা করতে হবে। শহিদ মিনার আমাদের জাতীয় জীবনের সবচেয়ে তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ প্রতীক। এটি আমাদের যুদ্ধ, ত্যাগ ও প্রাপ্তির বিজয়পূর্ণ ইতিহাসের কথা উপস্থাপন করে। এটি আমাদের রাজনৈতিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক অর্জনের অংশ এবং জাতীয় আশা আকাক্সক্ষার উৎস হয়ে পড়েছে। এটা আমাদের জাতীয় ভ্রাতৃত্ব ও সংস্কৃতিকে লালন করতেও পুনঃপুন অনুপ্রেরণা দেয়।
